Lugar: Aula de Naturaleza del Parque de Abelardo Sánchez.
Ruta: ¡SE RECOMIENDA LLEVAR PRISMÁTICOS!
09:50 h. Comienzo de la ruta en el paraje La Losa de Casas de Benítez.
11:00 h. Almuerzo y visita al centro agroambiental de Los Nuevos.
11:45 h. Continuación de la ruta por la orilla del río Júcar hasta el
puente de Las Ovejas y regreso al autobús.
Regreso: 14:00 h. Llegada a Albacete.

Un espacio fluvial, donde el río Júcar, sus huertas y campos de cultivo, sus pinares, sus infraestructuras ligadas al uso del agua lo inundan de notables valores botáni-cos, faunísticos, culturales y paisajísticos, además de arqueológicos, formando una rica combinación de elementos que hacen de él un marco idóneo y de enorme po-tencialidad para el desarrollo de diversas y numerosas actividades.
BOSQUE DE RIBERA: En los islotes que quedan aislados entre los diversos brazos del río, aparece una variada manifestación de todas las especies vegetales típicas del bosque de galería: álamos, sauces, chopos, fresnos, etc. El bosque presenta una espesura muy elevada como consecuencia de la proliferación de los rebrotes de álamos, olmos y fresnos y a la competencia que establecen las especies de matorral y trepadoras.
BOSQUE MEDITERRÁNEO: Masas maduras de pino piñonero ocupan los suelos arenosos de los cerros que aparecen por todo el paraje, manifestándose en una magnífica representación del bosque mediterráneo de transición, con una interesante diversidad de especies animales y vegetales y un elevado valor paisajístico.
FAUNA: En el paraje del “Los Nuevos” debido a la diversidad de ecosistemas que podemos encontrar la diversidad faunística es muy elevada. Pudiendo encontrar numerosas especies piscícolas, aves ligadas en su mayoría a los cauces de los ríos, mamíferos, insectos,…etc.

RIVERSIDE FOREST : poplars , willows , poplars , ashes, etc. In the islets are isolated from the various branches of the river , a varied manifestation of all plant species typical gallery forest appears . The forest has a very high density as a result of the proliferation of coppice poplar , elm and ash and the competition for species of shrub and climbing .
MEDITERRANEAN FOREST : Bodies of mature pine occupy the sandy soils of the hills that appear all over the place , manifesting itself in a magnificent representation of Mediterranean forests transition , with an interesting variety of plant and animal species and a high landscape value.
WILDLIFE : In the place of the "New " due to the diversity of ecosystems that we can find the faunal diversity is very high. Being able to find numerous fish species , mostly birds related to riverbeds , mammals , insects, ... etc .
